Remembering 9-11

Every year, 9-11 comes as a somber day of recollection. It has become to modern Americans what December 7, or Pearl Harbor Day, was to our grandparents or parents. Almost everyone can remember where they were, what they were doing, who they were with when this terrible event occurred.

This year, 9-11 comes on a day when our fellow Americans in Texas and throughout Florida are struggling to recover from a disaster of nature, Hurricanes Harvey and Irma, respectively. This is a good time to remember and take to heart the words each of us has repeated hundreds of times. We have all pledged our allegiance to “….one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.” What happens to New York City, Washington, D.C. or to Texas happens to us all. On this day, let’s renew our determination to stand together through thick and thin.

God bless us one an all!
