December 7th, 1941

Pearl HarborDo you remember what happened on this day in 1941? Not many people do, which is why we want to remind you and others to never forget what happened at Pearl Harbor. To observe this day, many government buildings and residences fly the American flag at half-mast to show respect.

This was a dreadful day in American history that Franklin D. Roosevelt said was “a date which will live in infamy.” This surprise attack by the Japanese Imperial Army caused more than 2,000 people to be killed, 1,000 were injured and many aircraft and battleships were lost.

We ask you to never forget this day and to educate your loved ones and friends who are unfamiliar with what happened. Freedom is not FREE!

Working with YouTube Videos

video marketingWe have commented often on the value of video in websites and social media. If you are producing your own website, Facebook page or other social media site, adding videos makes your site much more attractive. Take a look at some of the examples produced by the professionals here at Axiom.

This link, Join us for our next Brunch & Learn event, takes you to a website page that is intended to encourage seniors to attend an OurSeniors Family Brunch and Learn event. Notice how the video is integrated into the website itself. The viewer does not have to leave your website and go to YouTube to see the presentation. Just clicking on the “play” symbol starts the presentation in its own window on the OurSeniors.net website.

Here is the same technique applied to the OurSeniors.net on Facebook page. Again, viewers of the Facebook entry can start the video without leaving Facebook, minimizing the chance that they will stay on YouTube rather than returning to your site. This is a great advantage! It makes it possible to present information in a video format without forcing the viewer to leave your site (and maybe not return). Below the video window are two promos for upcoming Brunch and Learn events with instructions for attending. It’s a stationary ad on your own website.

The professionals at Axiom can do this for your website or Facebook page. Better yet, they can integrate your information into the OurSeniors Family of websites, Facebook pages and printed material. You can be the star of your own Brunch and Learn event lecture or have your own video presentation integrated into one of the OurSeniors.net Family of printed or online vehicles. As part of the OurFamilies.net Family of organizations, we specialize in reaching out to 55+ adults and seniors.

If you are trying to reach that market, the 55+ and senior demographic, the Silver Consumers who are so important, let Axiom show you how. Our business marketing team can combine traditional marketing tools like direct mail advertising (still a powerful way to reach senior consumers) with printed magazine promotion and professional digital marketing solutions. Specialists in the senior market

OurSeniors.netAccording to the US Census Bureau, by 2030, Americans over 60 will make up over 30% of the total US population. Considering adults only, 50% of that population was 50 years of age or older by the end of 2017. No internet marketing agency or business owner can afford to ignore this market.

At Axiom, we are becoming specialists in the senior market, reaching it and influencing its buying behavior. Because of our connection to the OurSeniors Family of organizations, we can open a doorway into the heart of this market. We know that the number of seniors online is only going to increase. Seniors love the internet and social media; it’s convenient, it opens up a whole new world and it is empowering to seniors, even those with limited mobility.

If you are still doing your own website, we can offer some quick-help pointers for the senior viewer.

  1. Establish credibility and trust. Seniors want to know the person or organization behind the website. Devote a page on your site to telling your story, based on the values and principles you or your business have. Be sure to include “serving the needs of seniors” in those values. Have a mission statement for those values.
  2. Be senior relevant! Engage with seniors. This involves more than just featuring information that is relevant to senior life. It includes placing pictures that include seniors in them, cross linking with other senior-friendly sites, and engagements with the senior community. An excellent example of this involvement is the OurSeniors.net Brunch and Learn program that Axiom helps to produce for the OurSeniors Family of services. Click on the link to see how effective this can be.
  3. Create a web presence that appeals to seniors. This involves creating content that is accurate, easily understood and relevant to senior life, even if that content is not directly involved in your business. As the Google Webmaster guidelines say, “Content is King!” That is why viewers, including seniors, return to some sites and not others. The content makes it worth their effort.
  4. Complete a website audit to ensure your site is seniors-friendly. Increase text and image sizes for key parts of your message, streamline content for easy reading, establish trust and credibility and be senior-relevant with pictures and content.

That is a very brief summary of what Axiom, the Specialist in Senior Marketing, has learned over many years. If you are struggling to find digital marketing solutions that work and branding strategies that can penetrate the senior market, turn to Axiom. Empathy

SEO“Empathy” may sound like an unlikely term to use in an internet marketing agency blog, but for Axiom, it is not. It is part of our branding strategy as a specialist in marketing to seniors.  Like other internet marketing agencies, we do our share of SEO techniques and finding digital marketing solutions of all kinds, but it is in marketing to seniors that we excel.

Part of the reason is the empathy we have for seniors. A big part of our activity is to act as the technical arm of the OurSeniors Family, a group of organizations that exists to serve the needs of seniors. We do not simply put up websites or publish blogs and leave it at that. As part of the OurSeniors Family, we go out and mix it up with the people we are trying to influence. We try to appreciate their needs and their tastes. In short, we empathize, trying to understand what will help seniors and what will help us to influence their decisions.

That is why we say we are better at reaching the Silver Consumer! Consider the resources we can bring to bear in helping you or your business reach out to seniors:

If you are trying to reach the 55+ and senior market, the Silver Consumers, let Axiom show you how. Our team can combine traditional marketing tools like direct mail advertising (still a powerful way to reach senior consumers) with printed magazine promotion and professional digital marketing solutions. OurSeniors.net MagazineLike all internet marketing agencies, Axiom does its share of search engine optimization, branding strategies and even direct mail marketing. Besides the routine, we are unique in our association with the OurSeniors.net Family of organizations.

The core mission of OurSeniors.net is to be of service to seniors in all ways possible. At the same time, the OurSeniors.net Family of organizations provides business and professional people with an avenue through which they can address the 55+ and senior marketplace. One of the primary ways we do this is through the senior living magazine, OurSeniors.net Magazine.

Right now, the Summer Edition of OurSeniors.net Magazine is being distributed to more than 250 pickup locations throughout an eight-county area in central Florida (Volusia, Flagler, Orange, Seminole, St Johns, Lake, Polk and Osceola Counties) and with it the OurSeniorsDiscounts section. OurSeniors.org is the newest addition to the OurSeniors.net Family

OurSeniors.orgAxiom is part of a larger family of organizations, the OurSeniors.net Family. Recently, that family expanded to include OurSeniors.org. This new addition seeks to provide immediate and continuing care and comfort to isolated seniors in need of human contact. OurSeniors.org will work to change the idea that seniors can be left on their own after being placed in a care facility.

This part of the OurSeniors Family wants to educate families and communities about the needs of our elders through example and message. Its goal is to build up a local family for those in need. If you are interested in supporting our cause and changing someone’s life for the better, consider a donation for a relative, friend, neighbor, or even a stranger.  All proceeds will go towards supplies and items to share with our visited seniors. You can read more about this new organization at OurSeniors.org.

This is an opportunity to brand your business or professional practice as “Senior Friendly,” a great place to be! We have often said that, “Axiom has years of experience reaching out to 55+ adults and seniors.” That is true, largely because of Axiom’s relationship to the OurSeniors Family. Why is Axiom better at marketing to older adults than our competitors? The factor that sets Axiom apart is its family, the OurSeniors.net Family of organizations and resources.

If you are trying to reach the 55+ and senior market, the Silver Consumers who are so important, let Axiom show you how. Our business marketing team can combine traditional marketing tools like direct mail advertising (still a powerful way to reach senior consumers) with printed magazine promotion and professional digital marketing solutions.
